SSR code 7601
The most notable difference is the introduction of a new SSR code 7601. This code is to be used specifically by an IFR flight in VMC whereby the pilot-in-command decides to continue to fly in VMC and land at the nearest suitable aerodrome.
Using the code will correctly inform ATC and (A)FIS of the pilot’s intentions.

La différence la plus notable est l'introduction d'un nouveau code SSR 7601. Ce code doit être utilisé spécifiquement pour un vol IFR en VMC au cours duquel le commandant de bord décide de continuer à voler en VMC et d'atterrir sur l'aérodrome approprié le plus proche.
L'utilisation de ce code permettra d'informer correctement l'ATC et l'(A)FIS des intentions du pilote.
